The dogs in our program are altered before being placed. They are microchipped, vaccinated and come with an additional four weeks of integration training after adoption. The adoption fee of our animals is $195 unless otherwise noted. This is to cover medical care, food and housing while we have the animal, as well as the training that sets our organization apart.

If you are interested in meeting any of these dogs, please call Ginger at 720-514-2537 or ginger@NSCrescue.org or Gina at 720-514-2543 or e-mail gina@NSCrescue.org

Harvey

Harvey is a black lab/border collie mix who is about 8 months old. He was a transfer from a high kill shelter in Wyoming where his time was up. He is such a nice, wanting-to-please kind of dog that we decided to give him a second chance here in Colorado. He is a very happy dog who does great with both other dogs as well as kids. As a young guy who was penned up so long, he is very excited about this new lease on life! Harvey is working on house breaking but rarely has accidents anymore (he is also crate trained). He is a very happy dog that has really come a long way in his socialization. We're hoping for a home with kids or other dogs for him (although he could fly solo as long as there is a 6-foot fence when he is unsupervised outside). If you were willing to meet Harvey you would realize how special he really is - and that he is completely deserving of life with a family that loves him.

Tanner

Tanner is a two year old shepherd mix (possibly lab considering his coloring.) This is a rather large boy coming in at about 85lbs. He is neutered, up to date on shots, crate & house trained. He has also been trained to use an invisible fence and is a pretty quick learner. He is mellow and looking for some companionship (however not in a home with small animals - bunnies, guinea pigs, etc.). This really nice fellow is just looking for a second chance with a family who considers him important enough to make sure life events include taking him with as well.

Colton is a 6 month old purebred sable German shepherd puppy. Colton was an owner relinquishment as he was a bit too strong willed for his original family. This dog is a bit unsure of himself, and very sensitive to changes within his environment. He needs a strong, confident owner who is able to be the dominant personality in Colton's life to make him feel secure. He does best with men, and it is imperative that his future owner is looking for a companion dog and that they would be willing to work with him throughout his life in order to keep his best traits at the front. Colton needs to be in a home without children, and would do best as either an only dog or with a mature older dog to show him the ropes. He has amazing potential and we are hoping with the right structure could be someone's best dog ever.

Miley

Miley is a 9 week old black kitten who was born to a feral mother. She is now fully tamed and ready to be adopted. Miley loves to talk and sing to her people. She enjoys checking out everything that is going on, and if she gets a felt mouse - oh boy, is she a happy girl. Miley uses the litter box perfectly, has no fear of polite dogs, and enjoys the company of other cats and all people alike. If you would be interested in adopting Miley, she is $75 which includes her first round of shots, worming and her spay. She needs to be an inside only girl. There is a policy of no declawing as part of the contract, but she likes to use a scratching post just fine, so we don't think it would ever even be a problem. Please contact Georgia about Miley.

Rendy

Rendy is an 11 year old grey domestic short hair. She lived with her original owner in an assisted living facility, but when her mommy died no one wanted to step up and help her. Rendy is a very social and loving cat, however after years of living in a more quiet and reserved setting, she would prefer a new home somewhat like the first. She does however get along with other cats and people - so while a retired or single adult would be ideal, Rendy isn't too picky. Won't you please consider this sweet girl as she looks for a retirement of her own? She still has many healthy years left, and she would enjoy sharing them with you!

Casey

Casey was part of a rescue effort that saved several starving dogs from the Ute reservation in Southern Colorado. This little girls is about 3-1/2 months old, a bit malnourished and still learning that people can be trusted. Casey looks like shepherd of some sort. She is currently getting full health exams and will need quite a bit of socialization prior to finding their forever homes; however, if you are interested we can accept applications now for review. Our puppies come with a spay and neuter contract which includes the free surgery at Table Mountain Vet Clinic. Their adoption fee is $230 to help cover the additional medical costs and training.

Samantha

Samantha is a 9 year old purebred American Eskimo dog that was a transfer from an overcrowded shelter. Although this lady is a little bit older in years, she definitely makes up for any shortcomings in temperament. She is extremely sweet and mellow, and just wants to follow you around the house to keep you company. She is house trained and has basic obedience pretty much nailed. If you are thinking about adding a dog, but not looking for a puppy, this gal is a sure bet for success.

Scamp

Scamp is a 3 year old purebred German shepherd that was part of a massive rescue effort that helped save several dogs from starving (or being shot) from the Ute reservation in Southern Colorado. Of all our reservation rescues, Scamp seems to have had the most "normal" life. What we know is that this sweet guy was part of a family with children. He is a complete love and seems to have had at least some time inside as a family dog. However, Scamp was slated to be euthanized by tribal elders (we're speculating that maybe he got in with the neighbor's chickens). In any case, Scamp's owners did not want to see him be shot, so they are the ones that helped arrange the rescue. Scamp will get full blood and vet exams prior to being adopted. He needs some general training, however he doesn't appear to have any problems that an effort will not fix. He is about 80lbs (or will be when he puts on a bit of weight), but still a friendly and happy guy all the same. He is neutered and will be up-to-date on vaccinations. Although all of our reservation dogs are currently on hold until their health checks out, we can accept applications for review.

Pearl

Pearl is a purebred blue German shepherd. She is on the larger side for a female at around 80 pounds. She was a bit difficult to handle when she first came in to our program, however after weeks of intensive behavior therapy, she has made huge leaps and is now ready to be adopted. She is house trained, knows basic obedience and with the additional training is very obedient. Pearl would do best in a home with experience handling large dogs, however, she has shown such a transformation in behavior that all applications would be accepted.
